The company faced difficulties in coordinating the activities of the different teams (design, installation, commissioning, review) due to the complexity of the implementation and the lack of a unified platform.

How Dinterweb addressed the challenges of Planet Solar

In the initial phase, it was identified that Planet Solar was managing its information in various tools and Excel sheets, which made it difficult to track and efficiently manage its efforts and results. In addition, the Excel sheets were so heavy that they were difficult to access. A need was noted for salespeople to be able to quote directly from HubSpot, which required a customized quote. It was also crucial for all teams to have visibility into the status of each project for better coordination.

During planning, Planet Solar intended to learn how to use HubSpot's marketing tools, create inputs, and attract new customers for the sales team, as well as measure marketing results. Initially, they declined to implement the sales and service modules, but soon realized they needed a comprehensive solution for:

  • Bringing together the sales process and service delivery, especially due to the complexity of the industry in which they operate.
  • Document and connect all equipment, ensuring that there were no missing supplies needed for the installation.
  • Having visibility into the status of projects and the ability for all teams to be in sync.

Finally, they opted to contract HubSpot and customized objects within the CRM so that employees could check the status of each project.The total implementation took 12 weeks.

  • Creation of a sales pipeline with customized properties.
  • Creation of a service pipeline per team, with customized properties that follow the process of each team, including tasks and automations to alert on improper movements such as moving ahead in the process without approval.
